This time round we are going to be looking directly at the planning and execution of a successful Business Analytics programme with an active BAEF member who has implemented multiple programmes and has some great tips and tricks up her sleeve that could help you in your planning and delivery.  Dr  Salimeh Pour Mohammad   is an Associate Professor and Curriculum Designer in Business Analytics at the University of Warwick Business School. Before joining WBS, she was a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director of MSc Business Analytics at the University of Exeter Business School. She was also a member of the University-Wide Data Science Education Committee as well as the Accreditations and Ranking group at Exeter. Prior to that, Salimeh has worked as a lecturer for UG and PG programs at the University of West London Business School where she led management courses on four international campuses (UAE, China, Cyprus and London) from the London campus. Our recent BAEF webinar featured Dr S M A Moin who is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Queen Mary University of London.  Dr Moin researches and publishes in brand storytelling, strategy, leadership and creativity & innovation.  For this webinar, Moin describes his experiences of using storytelling as a pedagogy to create an inclusive classroom that empowers both academics and students to foster intellectual engagement/exploration and teacher-student/student-student co-creation.    Moin has had a varied career and came to education with the purpose of creating the leaders of tomorrow with knowledge, skill, and character.   Over time he has developed a teaching approach that uses storified and creative teaching to reach the students rational mind by tapping into their emotions.   Moin highlights the teaching practices that can switch students off and reduce engagement, and how using a creative narrative can help to foster engagement and hold the student’s attention.   As with al

AI in Industry and the Future of Work event

On 14 th December 2023 the BAEF held a webinar discussing the rising use of AI in industry and what we as educators can do to prepare our students for working within environments that use AI systems.  The event was well attended, and the four speakers were Marilena Karanika who is Head of Innovation at Experian, Balagopal Madhusoodhanan who, at the time, was Principal Architect, Supply Chain & Intelligent Automation at TJX inc. (now with Chanel), Luke Vilain who is leading UBSs risk assessment for Generative AI, and James Winters who is the AI Ethics and Governance Officer at Deeper Insights.   All four have a wealth of experience in using and implementing AI in highly regulated environments, and they are all keen proponents of the ethical use of AI.  The session opened with the guests describing what they do in their jobs and outside of them.   The first question focused on what the guests thought that we,
